  • Where can I find N48350?

Now that I am upgrading my L2-B with a C-90 I'm considering the possibility of putting it on floats. The only tandem T-Craft that I have ever seen on floats is N48350 a DCO-65 serial #5277. According to the FAA, it is registered to an outfit called L & D Consultants in Haslet, Texas. I could not find an e-mail address or a phone number for them anywhere. I did write a snail-mail letter to them at the address shown in the FAA aircraft registry and have not received a response.
Does anyone know any way that I can contact someone at L & D Consultants so I may ask them how the floats got approved for their L2? Since floats are not listed in the TCDS for the DC series airplane they must have gotten an STC or a field approval. I would just like to know if they are willing to share any information with me. It would be nice to know where to start.

Why not just order the records CD from the FAA and get all the paperwork?
The Federal Aviation Administration is an operating mode of the U.S. Department of Transportation.

      Dave,
Just did, thanks for the heads up. I'd still like to talk to the owner and find out if the airplane is flying on floats and find out what kind of a floatplane it turned out to be.
