    Re: Alaska Fly-In

I think you may have already taxied out to bomb gravel with flour when I snapped that pic! Here's one with Bob's lovely plane - just ignore the non-Tcrate in the picture.

One of someone's flour bomb that almost hit the wrong target:

And one just from flying home. I should have taken more pictures, but I had a cell phone, and other folks had actual cameras.

      Re: Alaska Fly-In

      Hey Gang,

Thanks to all who came out for the fly-in this year. I think we had 11 airplanes, which ties the record for the most T-Crafts. We have SOOOO many active Taylorcrafts flying in the area that I won't be satisfied until we have at least 20 planes. (Next year!)

We had a terrific time this year...here is a video to re-live the fun!

          Jim,
Thanks for putting on a great event. Yes please send me a copy to jpbp at alaska dot net.
Skwentna is a great place to have an event like this. As you know, the Skwentna Roadhouse has enthusiastic new owners and they are fixing the place up very nicely. They have mogas available and said that they will have a supply of avgas next year. They are open year-round and would make for a nice destination when on skis.
Next year I hope to bring my wife and spend the night at the Roadhouse because as we all know, nothing goes better with Brats than cold beer.

Sorry Gang...YouTube took the audio off, then put it back on, then took it off again! I reposted this and hopefully the audio will stay.

Bob, I'll send you a DVD (or hand deliver it!). I REALLY like your idea of an overnight in Skwentna! Definitely a possibility.

OK...so You Tube stripped the audio off again. So...here is another link with new music. It's WAYYYYY better anyway! Benny Goodman fits well with our WW2 vintage airplanes. So...enjoy the Big Band music and don't buy any music licensed by Warner Music Group...cause they don't want anyone to hear it.
