  • Engine Monitor CHT&EGT

Anyone have any experiance with these?
I just ordered one, they are proud of them.

I am rebuilding my engine (C90) and was very lucky that I didn't fall out of the sky.
I have had troubles with cylinders, lifters and case. So I am hoping that this will make it easier to keep an eye on things. I am breaking down and adding a light weight electrical system, starting to get lazy with starting by hand.

Eric, they are just extra weight. I bought 4 new ECI cylinders and have had no cylinder problems since. Tim

MOST pilots who fly little engines like 65 hp, thru 90hp. do NOT have EGT'S! They follow simple rule of leaving mixture rich unless above 5000'. I never go above 3000 feet AGL as it seems pointless in Maryland. Waste of time and gas. Better to fly a little rich than burn a valve. In the Mooney, I simply leaned it the normal way but I still ran it a little rich. Alot of small engine aircraft don't even HAVE a mixture control in the cabin. JC
