            another photo test.

This is an example of the new thumbnail feature. Click on the image to see the full size version.

              Re: photo

your photos are there, and you can click on the link you see to display them.

I am trying to get a thumbnail feature working so that only the thumbnail is displayed first, and you can click on that to see the full photo. The intent is to reduce the download time when reading thru a thread, especially for people on dialup connections. If someone whats to see the full photo, they can by just clicking on the thumbnail.

Older postings that have attachments should be getting converted to using a thumbnail too. There is a bug I am working on that prevents all of them from being converted, so far we have about 10% done. Of the (around) 30MB that the forum now takes in disk space, about 90% it is used by attachments which indicates how much people like to use them. Which is fine, we have only used less than 1% of the space we have in the first 12 months of operation.

When adding attachments, be sure to read the messages during the process of uploading and not any that are not accepted due to size limits. Since we are now alloing up to 6 attachments to a posting, and the thumbnail feature the upload takes a few seconds longer than it did before. Its important to keep an eye on the messages rather than just get click happy.

                    Re: photo

Forrest, you know darn well that coldfusion is the method of welding at room temperature using hammers.

Hit the two pieces real hard together, they will fuse. If they don't, the hammer ain't big enough.

Hi Buck, that patch came from Forrest's archive of goodies. Don't know if there are anymore.
