  • Aircraft pulleys

OK i just purchased new pulleys from the luscombe guys and the 1 3/4 pulleys in the tail are wider then the ball bearing new pulleys. My question is has anyone had this problem and are you using washers to take care of this issue. The thing I worry about is the cable jumping out and getting caught between the pulley and the guard.

a thin washer on each side is what I put on all of my pulleys. Tim

      Re: Aircraft pulleys

Both the 1 3/4" and the 3.0" pulleys are made to prints developed by Taylorcraft, as they were produced by Ralmark for the factory. The bearing with is a manufacturing limitation as the only approved pulleys for production are more narrow than the old bushing style. adding a washer or two is a perfect solution.
