  • Primer lube

My primer was getting difficult to operate so I took the plunger out to check the O rings. Front one is OK back one is worn/stiff. Replacing same.

Question: is there some kind of lubricant that will allow the primer to function without so much effort?

Wouldn't mind servicing it regularly if it would work easier. Good backup if you ever need simplex fuel injection to get to the end of the runway.

    Re: Primer lube

    "Fuel lube" works.

Apply SPARINGLY as it will not dissolve in fuel & can plug primer fittings & other things.

I have used this, it works great. It is a silicone grease. Cheap enough and the small container will last forevere. It may be the same stuff you can buy in the auto parts store.
