    Re: Wing grommets

I had one response indicating that drain holes may have been done by holes in the very trailing edge (wing and aileron). Can anyone confirm or deny that this method was ever used at the factory?

    Thanks, Ron (#6879)

Just thinking-If there aren't any drain holes forward of the trailing edge @ the ribs prevent it from leaving the bays then moisture would have to build up enough to go over the formed up edge or if the wing was covered with an envelope and not glued to the edge then go between the fabric and edge and be trapped there without much air to make it evaporate and eventually corrode the edge.

Fly them more often. I have never really found a lot of corrosion in that area. Ours have been hangared and away from the salt air.
