  • mod's for F-19

HI, I have a 1975 F-19 I am in the process of rebuilding and am looking for paperwork on some things. Any help is appreciated. First, I want to get rid of the present exhaust and have heard the C-150 exhaust will work? I want to change the bench seat to individual seats. Will the nose cowling piece advertised in magazines for the bc-12 work on the F-19? Is there any mod's out there for increasing the fuel capacity? Thank you, Jack.

I also have been wanting to modify my F19, not anny tine soon tho. I also would like to get rid of the bench seat. I have heard that if you put a C150 exaust in you have to modify the cowling. This is all hear say and I dont know if it is true or if the BC12 cowl will fit the F19. I have done no reasurch myself. If you get the mods done to your plane would you share how much it cost and what you had to do to the front end. Thanks, good luck

      Jack -

Why do you want to get rid of your stock exhaust?

        Carl Ellis:
The one I have is worn out and an A & P who did the first annual(my ownership)for me about 15 years ago in Alaska recommended the cessna 150 exhaust. I've lost track of him(he moved)since and haven't been able to find anyone else who knows about doing this. Jack.

          Hi Jack -

I had to replace my exhaust last year. I had a new one made out of stainless, cost about $1000 installed but there was no cowling modification required and only minimal fitting. We sent the old system in for a pattern. I can get you the info about where I ordered it if you like.

I think it was these guys but I'm not positive.

The cessna 150 exhaust requires a mod to the lower cowling plus a field approval. I have seen the stainless units and they are well worth the $1000 price.
