Best of 2010 Taylorcraft photos

The rules:

Only one picture per post, please, but you can post as often as you like.

The pictures must have been taken in 2010. The pictures must either contain a Taylorcraft or be taken from a Taylorcraft (we trust your honesty).

The pictures do not have to be yours, but proper photo credit must be given and you must have permission to post the photo if they are not yours.

Anything larger then 800x600 will be deleted, edited or scrummaged, at my discretion.

And while it is not required it's always nice if you post a little bit of info along with your picture. What, where when, who and how...

3 Taylorcraft on the beach at Barra, Scotland, May 2010. This is one of the very few certified airfields in the world for Public Transport operations. The sand is as hard as rock, but woe betide those who don't take off before the tide comes in!

I've only had my Taylorcraft long enough to do the ferry flight. I need two photos to explain what you are seeing. Balk Knob Cross in Southern Illinois, second highest point in the state, built in the early '60's. Shawnee National Forest. Taken 'Black Friday' on the trip home from Mississippi with 'Miss Scarlett'.

Parked on the lake where we are erecting a cabin. Hauled a 4 ft. X 8 ft. sheet of 1/2 inch plywood in on this trip. Cut the full sheet into 4 each 2 ft. X 4 ft. pieces. Stacked the 4 pieces and used C-clamps to secure. The stack fit in the big baggage compartment with no problem. Rounded out the load with a bunch of other stuff. Dick

Here's mine at final assembly at borrowed hanger on Oct 22nd.



And at home field with 2 flights under her belt. Nov 25th delayed by hunting season.
Finished except a little cosmetic interior work that can wait till spring now!
And my grandson just had to see Papa's new plane
