Na-s3 "tailwheel mod"

Anyone know what the "Tailwheel Mod" is when performing an overhaul on the Stromberg NA-S3A1 carburetor?

Hi Bob,

see page 10 , para. 2-14(j) of the overhaul manual.

I think that may be what you are hearing about.

Its about moving the idle air bleed hole when the angle that the plane sits at when parked causes the original hole to be covered by fuel in the float bowl and then result in draining gas.

I think there is also a slightly lower float setting as well
