  • Trim for a BL-65??

    I'm restoring a 1940 Bl-65. I don't see any provision for a trim system. Did they come with or without?

      Should be a tab under the pilot seat for a handle, and some small cable guides leading back to the tail where there is a bellcrank under the horizontal where the flying tabs bolt on. As far as i know, only the "A" did not have provisions for a tab.

          Go to this thread => 1940 bc-65

          At this moment is on the first page of daily discussions.

          I th has picrures of the handle under the seat, wires to the back and teh tail section. Shows most of what you want.

            Hi Superjet,

            Have a few poor pics in my album in the photo gallery. Look for Howard Wilson on page 5. Then on my page 9, photos labeled: trefurb-033 ( rod/spar for flippers) and -014 (back of trim lever, in upper left corner of the pic) Page 10 trefurb-043 (just above lower door frame) Page 11 'Rejuvenating bottom fuselage' Page 12 'Retrospective' (cables running back just above left belly stringer.) I can get some better pics when I get out to the airport if it will help. h

                Now I get it. I thought it worked of the elevator. I have dig through boxes. I don't remember seeing those parts.
