Re: Some old trim on ebay

Wow, that is one beat up cowling set! On the good side, the trim does look repairable and the lower cowl has never been cut up for an air filter. It should be a great for a pattern for those who want the original nose without the filter. Whoever buys it please make a paper template or pattern for the historic files! The upper cowl hinge looks like it is still in place and might be repairable too. Those hinges are REALLY hard to find. All in all, it looks like an interesting pile of parts. Anyone know who is selling it? Might be worth going together on and splitting it up to make replica parts (not the trim strips, those can be copied, but a are a real pain to make!). Can't imagine anyone bidding on them unless they are already one of us, but you never know. If someone bids who ISN'T one of us we need to try and contact them and bring them into the fold.

Somebody got that trim for 56 bucks, I got lucky and picked up a MA-2 carb and heat box from him for $132.

Any ideas who got the parts? Wonder of the seller will put his buyers in touch with us.
