  • MA 2 carburetor float needle

Does anyone know if the float needle seat is different for the rubber tipped needles and the all stainless needle. I want to change out the rubber tipped needle on a spare carburetor. Cheers, Galt.

Not sure what carb you're talking about, but if it's a Stromberg, the answer is yes. The steel needle uses one seat and the neoprene and Delrin needles use another.

You did not give engine model or carb "10" number so it's a guess.

          For Lycoming O-145 B-1,B-2,B-3,C-1,C-2,C-3

          the application is a A10-2065

          MA-2

          Float Setting 7/32

Valve & Seat Assy -Float A233-551

          There is also a MA-2, A10-2065-P used on MANY Lycoming O & GO 145

          versions.

It appears that is used with a Fuel Pump & uses a different needle & seat.
