Today was one of those perfect 10's....those days that are so beautiful a ride turns almost magical. I took some pictures of our hunting camp and landed on Ottawa Lake...I did a glassy water landing and step taxied all the way around the lake....then rotated on 1 float for a while and then flew back home....some fishermen and canoeists watched and waved with enthusiasm. When I got home I changed the oil and tied her up to the dock....Nice.

Re: Perfect 10's
They can't take that one away can they. The leaves are turning here in Maine and I can't wait for some Quiet, No rush flying and just feeling the solitude that comes with this time of year.Im staying on floats longer this year so I get as much of that as I can before the late fall chores start. It is always a somber day when they come off.
Enjoy the time you have and Smile Every Day

Re: Perfect 10's
Great pics Dan. I have been in Marquette all week(son is in ICU in the hospital). I took a decompression ride today up 550 to Big Bay and back down the 510. I have never seen more brilliant colors up here.MIKE CUSHWAY

Re: Perfect 10's
I wish you would have said something Mike....I'm working on one of our Hydros in Marquette....we are replacing the penstock and updating all the plant electrical at the powerhouse....the dam is right off CR510...it originally went into service in 1919.....If your around at the end of this week...I'll give you a nickel tour and introduce you to some local pilots and grass strips (I have to be in Green Day Tues/Wed).......Hope your son is going to be okay Mike.

Luke was in a bad accident which required brain surgery and is now waiting to stabilize enough to get flown to UW Madison. It has been a rough week.....I would have enjoyed the tour. I love that kind of stuff.MIKE CUSHWAY
