Any ideas where to buy 6-40 nylon-insert nuts for the brace wires between the struts?

Try your local R/C model shop. If not I will send you some.

            AN365-640A Locknut

            Rob,
In this case being in metric England is not really a disadvantage. The nuts are hard to find. I have been looking for about two weeks including large hobby stores with no luck.
I think I have located some at http://www.jay-tex.com/ I requested a quote on the price and they say they are just waiting on the pricing from of course the pricing department. That was two days ago. Will let you know if I am successful. All this for four little nuts. Probably easier to make new brace wires.

I just puchased some 8-36 plain nuts for the tail brace wires from Spencer Aircraft Hardware in Puyallup, WA. 1-253-848-7740.

I asked about 6-40 nuts, and they stock those also.

Thanks, Dick, I will try them out.

Norm: Mine are both RH threads and were the "nylock" variety...and that's what I shall be replacing them with (if I can get hold).
