    Re: Taylorcraft drawings

All this talk about drawings got me thinking....
what about having all the drawings the foundation currently has put on CD's for purchase by members?
I don't know what scanning services are available in Alliance, or the cost.

If Forrest agrees and I can get my hands on a wide format scanner able to be connected to my laptop, I am willing to do the legwork, editing, and formatting to create these disks. They would be property of the Foundation obviously.

I just don't have the funds to pay to scan or copy all 2000+ documents. I do have the time to spend in Alliance and willing to put in the work, if anyone has a scanner to lend or rent cheap.

    Forrest- thoughts?
    anyone- Ideas?

If he is going to restore it he should have all four manuals. He can get them from ESSCO in Akron, OH. They advertize in Trade a plane. Dick

            Re: Taylorcraft drawings

Its all still here, I just don't have a lot of time to do the "legwork" I have been promised a lot from many people. All they have to do is show up....

The 4 CD set by Ron Greene for the complete L-2 series plus many other things is here at the Foundation for Taylorcraft Foundation members; each set is assigned to a particular ser# Model D aircraft. WE are having two restrorations of L-2 series being done within 15 miles of Alliance. I will be reporting on them soon. I just spent 1 hours in the air by myself in the F-19 I acquired back in July. What a great time, I was shooting aerials of the Ravenna Arsenal and other stuff.
yes we have Carter Copy in Alliance that is better than Kinko's members have been stopping by and getting what they need.
Remember I am the IA on a 1925 WACO , a Welch , the 2 L-2 projects., two BC12D projects . I acquired full usage of the back room again on 11-1-10 and have organized quite a bit. Brian Matz here at the airport was one of the members of the Aeronca organizations that went to Chicago ACO and scanned all the drawings. That was a dead TC.
OURS still has an Owner and a "factory" .
I ( WE) have to be careful on the dissimination of this information!
You can kick it around on the discussion forumn , I would prefer to have a "leader" for this project. There are certain drawings that can be very usefull; but many ( probably 75% or more are not necessary unless you are building from scratch). The fellow from italy is a prime example; I do not cater to the fellows who need drawings to build and Experimential with 40 ft wings, PT-6 turbine, 220 Cont...., or other such thoughts.
I do intend to relax here from Nov 23 thru Nov 28th , then tackle the back room and scans. I will post a few that we have done already.
PLUS ; PLEASE put Kelli-Belle in your thoughts and prayers; our little Bassett Hound got into some RAT or Mouse poison and is quite ill. We have been in and out of the Vets office this past week. Her blood is not clotting, she is on medicine and we are starting to see change for the good this beautiful Sunday. We are still here and getting ready for Winter.
No word from Mexico; nothing to report on the possible good news of a joint venture with a major manufacturer. I will share that with any Foundation Regional rep who calls me.

              Re: Taylorcraft drawings

I don't need drawings but I would like a copy of the early 337 for installation of an A-75 on a BC 12D. I am willing to pay for your time to.
