  • Spark plugs

A few years ago at the Champion booth at Oshkosh, the guys showed me a shielded short spark plug for my 85hp. By using this plug you don't have to put the bubble in the cowl. The plug was basically a short REM40E. Does anybody know the number? I have shielded on the bottom and unshielded on the top. I have way too much noise on my radio and don't want to go the Ercoupe bubble route.

      Re: Spark plugs

I used these plugs on a champ I had. They worked great and no bumps were needed. I was also told they burned a little hotter which was supposed to be better. On the Champ the spark plugs were rubbing on the cowling. JC

Thanks folks. I will try the REM37BY's. I will have to find some shielded cables for my old Eisenman's. I will let you know what happens.
