I take Cotton sling with with a cotton string!
Why: If man made materials burns italso melts and it sticks to your skin in melted form.
If you survive a fire, the cotton will burn you, but the doctors dont have to peel off your skin to get ride off material stuck to it.
Any fire proffing what can be put on to any material you use is a bonus.
Ask a FIRE MAN WHY HE WEARS COTTON OR WOOL UNDERWEARS!

Mark is correct, go to : radio works. com. If you really want a secure line
use their Kevlar product. I have used Dacron products for antennae for
over 40 years. The trick in the lacing is create tension by pulling the cord
back on itself. By starting with a non-slip knot (bowline) you have a secure base for tension.
I found instructions on tieing the bowline knot in a copy of the US ARMY SURVIVAL MANUAL. I am assuming that you end the lacing with a bowline knot. Is this correct. Thanks Rex
