Tire Size/Aircraft Performance

Anyone notice any discernable difference in aircraft performance when switching between larger and smaller tires? Example: 6.00's to 8.00's. I'm referring to rate of climb, airspeed...

My planes with small tires were all 65's and my plane now has 8.00's, but is a -85 so it is hard for me to compare.

I suspect it is not detectable.

I just put 800 on mine its also an 85 hp. i dont know that there is a huge speed difference but the landing comfort more than makes up for it.

I can get 104 kias in level flight with 8.50's I lost about 2 kts. Tim
