Could it have been done with a prop approved for the F19?

The F-19 prop is too short for good take off performance unless it is the sea plane prop. I was hoping to use the 65 prop to reduce costs. No dice. So I will persue it with the c-150 seaplane prop for land ops. Tim

I like the idea of two weight options. with 24 gallons the 1500 gets used up quick. possibly the way to settle it would be larger luggage sack for 1320 and full compartment for 1500.

Just got my jan/feb cub clues magazine. On the front page is an article about Paul Babcock who just recieved an stc to install any of the small continentals from a65 to C90-12 on any J3 variant. Maybe someone interested in doing a taylorcraft stc similar to this should get in contact with him. His number is 781 -337-2453. This may help save time. George
