    Bob,
David and I thank you. We will all go out and play nicely now with a CAR discussion.
OK for me to speak for you Dave?

    Hank

So what kind of cars do you guys drive?

            Re: FAA CAR docs.

I just took a quick look at the documents--and thanks much Dave for the information; can someone comment on the significance to Taylorcraft owners?
Maybe a little guidance as to what parts to give more attention.

              Re: FAA CAR docs.

Our airplanes were certified under car4a as I recall, TCDS will give you that info so verify it there.

You might use that old CAR info to justify or rationlize or understand how the thing was originally designed/built/repaired and use it to your advantage in repairs or alterations.

One example the old CAM 18 lists landing gear repairs that were accidently left out of ac43.13 and using the old data you can justify them.

I have an old copy of the CAR. I will have to look to get a date off it. But if you need a copy of a page. I should be able to get it. Larry

Remember Group II approvals are good too! Car 3 & 4a are the Taylorcraft early approvals...
