  • SB 2007-001 and -002

I'm looking for Service Bulletins 2007-001 (wing struts) and 2007-002 (strut attach). There was a link to the "factory" at one time for service bulletins, but that's gone. The AD's say follow the service bulletin for compliance, but...

Does someone have a link that actually works? Or maybe someone could scan a copy and post it here?

    Re: SB 2007-001 and -002

I had to remove the old Taylorcraft factory website due to some security holes.

The new owners have assigned a new webmaster and will be developing the new website. I have a temporary site up for the parts database.

I will remind them to place the service bulletins and ADs on the new site.

If you cannot find a link to the SBs, I will put them back up for you.

Mike - Does the database mentioned above include Taylorcraft parts? If so how do you access the site?

              Blake

PS: Mike - After writing the above I tired www.taylorcraft.com and found parts listed there. I assume that is the web site you were referring to.

Yes, the old Taylorcraft.com site had problems so I had to take it down. The current site is a temporary replacement until the factory gets their new site up to replace the one I did for the factory years ago. I used the 2007 factory database of parts and photos.

The quantity on hand needs to be updated, but I still think the part number and photo (when available) are worth alot.

I am still hosting the Taylorcraft.com site for the time being until the new webmaster gets their site together.

                  Mike:
Selling parts is important, of course. But the holder of the Taylorcraft type certificate has responsibility (I think, the FAA may not agree) to, at the very least, provide access to service bulletins. It was the "factory" that got us into this AD mess, after all. And the FAA, in their wisdom, chose to simply cite the service bulletins as the AD complience method...thus making the service bulletin part of the LAW we all have to follow.

Good point about the SB's. They should be on the Taylorcraft.org site as well for reference. I will bring that up if I am consulted about the new website development.

The old Taylorcraft.com zencart was an attempt to sell parts, but really it was more valuable as a reference, than a store, since we never took credit cards or orders over the internet. The temporary site is now just a parts database, but it is simple and fast.
