Has anyone out there tried using Real Gasket's pushrod tube seal kit http://www.realgaskets.com/files/horizontal.htm
to handle the problem of leaky pushrods? I was thinking of getting a set and would like to know what experiences others have had.
    Thanks

    Jim,

In immediate answer to your question: No.

But I made a Cont Push Rod Tube Sealing tool that has worked for me many times. It re-swages the bead inside the tube, against the head.

If there is enough demand, I will reproduce drawings to make the tool, but it requires some lathe work and a source of small ball bearings that actually do the swaging.

Or I can sell the tool for say GBP300.

Looks great, but it strikes me as an expensive solution to what is generally a pretty simple problem. The tool is readily available, click here: flaring tool

Robert: The balls are readily available here in the states at the local hardware store. (ask me how i know...) but maybe not in the land of Wentworth...
