    Re: Get together

Ralph, many thanks for your help on the trip to Va. Right now I got no airplane! Snow did hangar in. Who knows, I may give it another go if I find a decent t-craft. JC

        Re: Get together

That will depend on if anyone wants to help. Was up to Poplargrove last week and talked to friend who has a hanger by the museum. There are a couple options for food, can either get pizza delivery or sandwiches from local resturant. Could also make hamburgers, hotdogs, or brats on the grill. What would be a good date for you? George. I'll happily help on any date that gets nailed down that I'm not already committed for. I'll volunteer Marta too...

Oh yea, if we can cook burgers, brats, dogs, etc., I can bring a couple of grills. Not sure, but I doubt if Steve T. will mind either if we have a location over by the north hangers that can be used.

Sounds like Poplar Grove would be fun. My Tcraft is still in storage with the wings off waiting for the snow to leave the Lake Superior region. If you hold it later in the spring I might be able to make it.

George, I will help too but I live just under a hundred miles away so help as to facilities but can do other stuff, and I may have acess to an empty hanger too. I will have to ask a Money pilot from Freeport that keeps it there sometimes. Larry
                PS: Either weekend is good.

About eighty of us antique aircraft lovers got together last year, and "Voila", a full scale ultralight legal, (at least with one of the 4 stroke engine options), Aeronca C-2 evolved. I have the airframe of the prototype, and it should be covered by Sun-N-Fun. Anyway, what we do is, the second weekend of September we all meet at one of the members houses, and share photos of our progress on each of our projects, etc..
Last September, we all met in Nunnelly, Tennessee, and I brought the prototype airframe with me.
This year, the meet will be at my place, there will be three of us that will have our birds flying, and will fly them in.
Why not do the same thing with the Taylorcrafts? You guys are WELCOME to hold an event at my place. Brie

I guess that now that you have a new Tcraft, there's no excuse not to meet and fly to SQL/Suffolk's fly-in !!

                      Let me know.
