Re: New owners of Taylorcraft 200LLC

WELL SAID! but worryingly aircraft production was mentioned in the original email from your Authorities in the States!

I hope they produce spares across the board as well and not just with the older aircraft in mind where there will be a bigger turn over market I suppose!

The basics to keep us flying legal would be a good start like your local Qwik fit or whatever garage chain you have in the States where you could get exhaust stacks and similar quick turn over parts to get the whole thing up and running again and get confidence back with the customers and then move on from there. Look at Aircraft production much further down the track when the Economy had recovered sufficiently to support it and the core business had been established.

It is to be hoped as well that they will tap into the Foundation to get ideas from the knowlegable experts we have on site who no doubt have far better idea's than mine as to what is needed!

Re: New owners of Taylorcraft 200LLC

I'm wandering the slot canyons of southern Utah, & stumbled across an internet connexion somewhere between Leprachaun & Sandthrax (Google them, if you're interested!). So I'm a bit late in collecting emails.

I'm hoping this Factory news is good, and it seems that Antonio (an all-round good egg) is being retained.

Well done RobertP for bringing this to the fore.

        To the new owners,

As an Taylorcraft owner, active flier and forum member, I wish you all the best in re-starting the Taylorcraft factory. We and the many T-Crafts flying or under restoration need you to supply us with approved parts. That and good customer service is the key to a successful enterprise.

Trying to build new aircraft is much harder. The field is crowded with new LSA designs and with today's economy it will be a long hard road to profitability.

To keep the original thread on track, I've posted a trip report in Rants & Raves. Link: Flying in Southern Utah.
