26" or 29" Airstreaks

Has anyone bought these tires with the STC?

There STC only has the BCS models listed. Are the BC models covered under it?

I'm pretty sure they are. But the biggest thing (on getting them approved) is having breaks that work

We are going to put on cleveland wheels and brakes. The only thing left to decide is 26 or 29".

I've not got too crazy with mine on 26" akbw airstreaks and they work great. I've been on a number of gravel bars, beaches, and a little bit if tundra. The only reason I would go with the 29s would be if I was going onto real rough tundra "strips". I'll admit, the 29s look way more cool, but I haven't found a place I couldn't land with the 26s yet (with my comfort level and skill). That being said, I would LOVE to put 29s on a tcart someday and see how they do. Maybe someday I will be good enough to put the 29s on, but in the mean time there are LOTS of places I can go play with the 26s. The bushwheels were the best money I have spent on Miss T, other than gas money. If you "need" em, then you need em. But if not Id go with the less weight and less money.

BTW I like your pic, and skis are my favorite! For now....

Thanks for the info guys.

Is your visiblity greatly reduced on the 26's? I am on 24'' tires now and it is still ok.

The weight of the 29's is still going to be less than the tires I am on now and of course the 26's will be lighter still, but anything worth doing is worth over doing.

Any Idea if the 29's would a stiffer tire?

I doubt the 29s will be more stiff. When you get the bushwheels on, it will feel like you are landing on marshmallows!!!
Also, the over the nose vis is reduced, but since your already on 24" wheels going to 26s might not be too bad (I started on 6.00s). I have no idea about the 29s, but would imagine you would loose some vis.

I am still undicided. It won't be until this summer till I but I will post pictures.

Do you have pictures of the 26's on your plane?
