    Well.......I did it. I bought another plane. This time, for a change, I didn't buy a Taylorcraft. Just flew home a Stinson 108-3. I got a good deal on a plane I am familiar with and was in need of a four place plane so......

    Believe me, it wasn't easy to convince my wife we needed airplane number four! She is a GEM! (It helps to marry a fellow student from a Aeronautical University)

    Am keeping the Stinson with the D model on a grass strip here in N.E. Ohio (7D6). I told my son if he finishes our '46 BC12D he can have it, but....... he hasn't been working too hard on it.

    When we flew the plane home, my son was thrilled it had a starter. He has only ever hand proped the planes he has flown so he sees the starter as some new invention!

    It's great to have good flying weather return to NE Ohio.

      Hi Dan-

      No, the plane came from a private strip down by Carroll County airport. It is a cream color with green accent.

      Looks like you have been out fraternizing with the Super Cub guys. The pictures are great - keep them coming!!

          Fine Airplane

          Congratulations Jim!

          I owned a '48 108-3 and really enjoyed it. A true four-place with plenty of room. I think the Stinson is stronger upside down than a Cessna is right side up.... I like the diagonal bracing.

          I am hearing some good thinks about the addition of vortex generators to the Stinson. If there is one thing that would make it even more desireable it would be a slower stall speed.

          Regards;
