    Re: C-85/C-90/O-200/F-19 Performance

The O-200 Deluxe I had was 925, and that was with the heavy doors, full interior, extra wood, Deluxe trim, etc.

We had another postwar that was around 750 but was stripped down. We could have put an 85-8 or 90-8 on it and stayed under 800, but that is hard too do.

We fly an O-200 on a 46 BC-12D and certainly it is quick to get off. I don't really think there is much cruise speed increase as we get the typical 95-100mph. I do think it would go faster than a 65 hp version if it was pushed harder. The fuel burn is higher but still pretty economical. We typically figure about 5 gph. If you are messing around in the pattern or whatever it is probably more like 4 gph. It does not have any gross weight increases and some of the Harer/Gilberti mods have been done but not all of them. It has a float kit on it and has been operated on floats in the past but not with me in it. (too bad) The engine is on a modified short mount with no electrics. We installed the engine with a one time STC. (that was a long process but we have a thick stack of paperwork now...)
