  • silver coats

I completed the silver coats yesterday. It took 6 gallons of PolySpray to do the entire plane with 3 coats of silver, (4 coats in some places where I over sanded.)
Next up: a coat of white, then 3 coats of red and then finally black trim. If I don't screw up at this point I'll have the cover job completed early next week. Yipee!

        Carlton:
I'm using a Devilbiss StartingLine HVLP gun ($110 on eBay for a two gun, 3 tip kit). It connects to my regular air compressor. Good outfit, it gives a nice finish with very little overspray.
