Well, I did it, got completely stupid, fell down like an old man and hurt my left knee. I am on crutches and going back to Ohio on Friday. the First aid people are great, got checked , wrapped and up on walking sticks in two hours.
I did make the forumn , got to sit on my car and participate , Capt Jon recorded it and I missed seeing him at the end. Jon , I wold like a copy, actually you could sell copies , it will be a treasure.
Steve Krog did a great job explaining my injury .... We then heard from Wag-Aero Bill Read on the AMOC he developed to send him your struts and if they pass inspection, they will be sealed , returned to you and they are then good for lifetime.
More on this when we both get home. STEVE & BILL , you made my day!!! Great questions from the audience and I think we all went away happy.
I reported on the latest from Taylorcraft 2000 LLC and the pending offer
from Mr. Patrick to the Foundation . Scot Ruffner had advised me that Mr. Patrick would probably not make it to the forumn. Bill Read is still going to the factory in Brownsvile on May 8th, I will join him if my darn leg gets better by that time. More soon, I hope to be back in Ohio by 3PM tomorrow....

                  Jon,
I couldn't make it and would be glad to buy a copy of the forum!
I also still have my beautiful ORIGINAL 41 struts and am really excited that I might be able to put them back on.

                  LOVE my original SMALL struts!

Forrest, I feel your pain, I was unable to make the forum today and think I missed a real important thing. If there is a recording or whatever I would love to see it. P.S. I am hot on the assignment of finding good places to meet here in Lakeland, my stomping grounds now....

                      I sympathize Forrest.
Popped my knee out on Sunday and have been limping around for a few days. Hope you are back in the running quick. Lots of fun stuff coming up! Climbing in and out of a Taylorcraft is GREAT for keeping our old joints limber.

I finally got to meet Mr Barber today,We talked a little about my "wings with springs "and he wants me to send pics and maybe a movie on how they work.If I can figure out how to post that kind of stuff,Ill bring it to the forum.
I can tell from the few minutes we talked that he truly loves these airplanes and is interested in the mods that have been done to them.(without any ridicule).I look forward to exchanging information both in and out of this medium and working to preserve these wonderful airplanes.

It was in the high 70's today here in Ohio , my Patty is recovering from back sprain, my Daughter Mary also fell and hurt her wrist & back. There was a reason, we can get into the good this created some time!! I learned a lot about working together this time down, we have great plans , lets ee what happens . Off to Brownsville and then who knows ! AirVenture is going to be great with the new building.
To windy to go Sky-Diving today.
