Hi Guys,
Just got home with the few remaining bits and pieces of a Taylorcraft BC-12D ZS-BLH. Last flight was 1965 for Letaba Flying Club near Tzaneen in the old North-East Transvaal, where it crashed. I don't know the details but I will research this. The serial number stamped on the back of the throttle plate is 9762.
I will take some pictures in the morning, apparently the frame and bits have moved around quite a bit and I will follow up to find out the aircrafts history. All I have at the moment is the fuselage, landing gear legs, fuel tank and the tail feathers minus the fin. So this is going to be a long term project to source bits and pieces and rebuild the aircraft (unless I can find a derelect donor aircraft elsewhere). But it's something I've always wanted to do and it will help keep me active.
First question - does anyone have a contact for plans? I'll need a set to start off with.
Best Regards,
Charles
