  • Another question

Being not too swift mechanically: How much trouble is it to put an oil filter on a 65 cont. T-Craft and which one is best and how much are they and where do I get one? Thanks! Jim Cooper.

    Re: Another question

If it is the same as mine, it is a CH48108-1. It is fairly easy to install with one wee little consideration: safetywire. That isn't hard either but if it is your first time doing safety wire stuff, you may be given the opportunity to "practice" several times until you get it right.

Don't be scared of it. Just have your A&P look at it when you are done until your comfort level is adequate.

        Are you talking to me?

Sorry, life has thrown a curve ball at me and I've been a bit distracted lately.

I have the TAF Oil Filter Adaptor.

I'm trying to figure out where you mount the adaptor on a 65 Continental.

            Re: Another question

I'm not sure on a 65. The adaptor I have was purchased from El Reno Aviation and the stc is only good for C 75,85, 95 or O-200 and O-200A engines.

The F&M Filter only fits the C-series. Airwolf has a remote filter mount that plumbs into the screen housing that's STC'd for the A-series.
