Does S&S Aero Works have anything to do with this Forum? I got a charge on my credit card from them and I don't recognize them. Dues perhaps? - Mike

Re: S&S Aero Works, WI
You learn a new thing every day (I didn't know Steve is s&s aero)...
Anyway, Steve Krog is OK on this forum (and everywhere else, for that matter)...possibly the original issue is about dues for TOC membership?
Forrest & Bob?

Re: S&S Aero Works, WI
Bless you Joel, The former Taylorcraft Owners Club used our web site under direction of Bruce Bixler.
The new one that took over the newsletter have their own web site. Steve Krog writes all that. I am Forrest Barber and try to manage the Taylorcraft Foundation; we are now $20.00 per year, completely separate from the "Taylorcraft News" and publish an electronic Newsletter called the " Taylorcrafter" , no advertisements just facts and information.
We will start using guest writers next time too! We do not copy from others, just refer to them ; IE , the Vintage Airplane, Jan. 2009 , has an article by Robert G. Lock on page 30 that is REQUIRED reading for all Taylorcraft Owners and their Mechanics ( A&P - IA's)
. We are located in Alliance, Oh. We are the archive for the drawings and technical data plus lots of good stuff for Taylorcrafts. WE refer to ourselves as the Taylorcraft "tribe" anybody knows that "tribal knowledge" is the greatest asset that we have for our members. We have Regional Represenatives and can use more. We are trying to acquire the TC's; drawings, tooling, parts that are located in Brownsville, Tx. Good nite , It has been an other 18 hour day.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Re: S&S Aero Works, WI
Ignorance turns to confusion...
Is the foundation related to the owner's club? Is there a single place to join both? What does any of this have to do with Bruce Bixler?

Re: S&S Aero Works, WI
No they are not now related. Bruce Bixler was elected and re-elected by a meeting of the Taylorcraft Owners Club membership each year at an Annual meeting on Sat evening during the Fly-In to Alliance the week-end after the
4th of July for many years.
Bruce produced the newsletter for the Taylorcraft Owners Club. Bruce then sold the rights to produce that newsletter to Steve Krog ; Steve named it the Taylorcraft News and you send money directly to him if you want that newsletter.

To me it is very plain.
Foundation was going to have the LAST annual Fly-In in Alliance in 2007. Volunteers came out of the woodwork and put it on and it will continue to be put on. The FIRST Taylorcraft Owners Club Annual Fly-in was 1972 in Alliance. The Organizer of the TOC was Wayne Corzatt, first President and it was done under AAA not the EAA ; we went under EAA Type Club in the 1970's.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc
