  • Glad to be back!

    Howdy tribe!
Wow, I had given up on topica completely and had been telling myself that I wouldn't miss you all that much. ;-) After a few months a check back finds you all hanging out at the coolest, slickest new message board anyone could ever want! I mean - It's like a new FBO with marble floors and leather chairs, gourmet coffee and fresh chocolate chip cookies! Such a deal.

Since I conversed with any of you last I lost my little Sassafrass and a friend and nearly lost another friend as well. Yes your hearing me right - one poor soul and one T-craft lost from our world to fate and god. I'ts been quite a time. In the midst of all of this I have been able to get commercial instrument and multi-engine ratings and am working on the CFI. I suppose having your flight instructor wheel-chair bound at your house can be good for something! He is going to recover fully and should be flying again hopefully soon. He doesn't remember anything and any other findings are rather inconclusive. Some of you may have read the NTSB initial findings (N43005). It's been a hell of time but everyone is pulling through well.
So that's what I've been up to - how about you all?
PS - found another T that may be a good deal. Will keep you posted on whether I am able to pick it up or not. Would love to fly it back to Columbia this May!

    Rusty,

Very sorry to hear about the crash. I think everyone heard about it and we were wondering if it was one of the tribe involved. It must be hard to go through something like this. I still have nightmares of seeing/being near an aircraft accident. I guess I'm still young and dumb as I worry more about others more than myself.

      welcome

      Howdy Rusty,

Glad to see you here. Sorry to hear about your IP. but glad the outlook is good. I wrapped up a rotor wing in RVN and it took awhile to get over it. Did ya'll get any bad weather in LR yesterday? We got some 4" hail that did some serious damage.

Read your other post re: the plugs. I would like to shave the tear dropped shapped eyebrows but with the 85 cont with the stroker kit my A&P advised using the REM40E's only. TCM in GA advised the same.

      Best Regards

Thank you Rusty you make our day here in Alliance. Glad you like the new site; I had a lot of opposition but Bob Ollerton said it was good so away we went. I hope the membership of the Taylorcraft Foundation appreciates the effort.
I am always sorry about crashs. Just had a fatal east of us . Another good friend augured in a Heli last month.
