I am sorry to hear of Bob's passing.

Never met him face to face.

Talked on the phone with him maybe half a dozen times.

    I enjoyed talking with him.

Forrest, I guess now's finally the time to make those overdue changes to the STC and move forward on making it a more accurate and easy project for the average restorer/owner. As promised I'm here to help when you are ready.

And if that doesn't qualify him, certainly his service to our United States of America in the Korean War does! God Bless Him, God Bless America!

            Re: Bob Harer

I am so sorry to hear of Mr Harers passing. That STC was as we all know done by Jack Gilberti who I understand is still alive and well. My dad was a metal salesman. He called on Mr Gilberti several times. (Dad said he could not believe how hard Jack was working to get the Cessna like aircraft and Factory off the ground ..He literally was pouring concrete on one day my dad went by!!!. Yes he did actually build several planes successfully. All this occured after his stint with Taylorcraft (which at the time was in the Beaver Falls PA area ) Thats where Mr Gilberti engineered the 85hp Taylorcraft and the STC.

I never knew Mr Harer who bought out the rights to the Gilberti STC but I do know the guys of that era are indeed a dying breed.

Forrest I do hope at the right time you honor this STC in a manner appropriate to the gentleman who brought it to us.

            We need never forget em
