  • bell crank

I am reassembling my wings and installing the aileron bell crank. I cannot figure out exactly how the bolt and washers assemble. This is the newer magnesium type. The An4-31 bolt is original. There are at least two washers. One that is larger than the inner bushing and a regular AN4 washer. I have the “original” bolts that came off but failed to take a picture. Any pictures of the assembly would help.

Larger washer is a 970-4 and goes oposite the bellcrank. It keeps the bellcrank captured in the bracket.

      Re: bell crank

It appears that mine never had that large one. There is one that I think goes on top of the bell crank that fits over the inner bushing. If I have it correct, that washer allows the bolt to tightened on the inner bushing and allows the belcrank to rotate free. I whish I had a diagram of the assembly.

Thaks for your help I may post a picture of what I have.
