  • Clayton Skylight STC, Famous Daves Ski Fly

Does anybody know if Mr.Clayton is still produceing and selling skylight kits? I have been trying to call him all week and have not gotten a call back. I'd like to put a skylight in T-Rex for a little bit better vis. in turns. Thanks to any and all who reply. Also a side note Famous Daves Ski fly in is this Sunday, near Hayword WI. There is usually a good turnout and a great buffet. In the past they have plowed a runway on the lake for wheel planes. The weatner looks like it will be great, upper 20's and sunny. Hopefully we will see you there.

    Brad,
I purchased a skylight STC from Mr. Clayton a few months ago. I have 2 phone numbers-907-460-7036 and 907-488-4125-and I believe the second is his new one. His address is P.O. Box 56102, North Pole AK. 99705.

You can use the one I designed as a basis for your own field approval, or I can put you in touch with the DER who approved it for me, and he can approve the same drawings and methods for you at a reasonable cost.

The advantage of mine is that there is no welding and no permanent changes to the structure. I am pretty sure it gives you the exact same amount of visibility as Mr. Clayton's STC.

        Hi Brad,

I did the triangle slylights in mine. I did a 337 because there was no structural changes or modifications. My AI signed everything off with no problems. If you want some pics and info let me know and I can email them.

          Brad,
If the weather holds then I will definitely see you and T-REX at Dave's ski fly in . In my book Dave's buffet is without exception the best food you will find at a fly in around hear. see you there.

How about posting the photos of the triangular skylights. My plane (the 45) had them from the factory according to the records and they were pretty badly damaged when I got the plane. I have almost all of the bits and pieces, but it is a real jig saw puzzle.

I used Victor Bravo's design and got it approved in no time with a 337. What a difference in visibility.

How do I get a hold of Victor Bravo and photos of the triangle design?

Other may have direct contact but if not you can probably reach him through this website www.ezflaphandle.com. He is the owner/designer of that product.
