Looking for post war 2 hinge stuff. I will have a good fin and perhaps one of the two stabilizers, but I'll need two elevators and a rudder. I am working on one deal now, however if this does not work out then I will need a backup.

I can come up with new ribs for a prewar, I think they run about 200 for the set, Its a slightly different prifile but will work as a repair. I had to have mine rebuilt last winter....Tim

          Hi Bill ,
I have a set of stabilizer and elevator parts but the elevator does not have the trim mechanism. Make me an offer.

Thanks Larry. Let me get the project home first and then I can see exactly what is bent/broken/rusted and what is not bad. I did see that this aircraft does have the trim mechanism, so I won't need it.

              Bill,
I have a nice set of 2 hinge horizontals-but no elevators.
Let me know if you can use them.

                Re: Tail Surfaces Wanted

Guys thanks for responding to this thread! I will be contacting some or all of you soon for tail parts, THANKS for the offers... right now I have to find a way to GET this carcass 90 miles home.

I found a small bargain basement boat trailer to convert to a flatbed, now I'm trying to figure the cheapest/best/fastest/weatherproof way to put a flat deck on it to haul the airplane home. (I can use the trailer to haul other av-junk too)

The trip out into the Mojave Desert to get this trailer was a trip and a half, it was one of those unique strange desert rat kind of guys with a pack of 50 dogs on 200 acres of desert. The large number of dogs running around all day keep the famous "Mojave Green" snakes away... the mule and three horses keep the dogs occupied... the desert rat fixes up old trailers and boats to sell for food for the animals... and then he gets called in for occasional bit parts in movies as an actor/extra to feed himself !
