    Well done!

During severe weather, particularily high winds, for the planes tied down outside, you use the standard three point tie down or do you do more? - Mike

Well I have seen many 40-70 MPH winds in Delta Junction, I am using 36" screw in anchors and 3/8" rope double looped from the anchor to the struts and tail. I tie the wings first and pull the airplane tight by pulling the tail back. TIm

Tribe, do whatever you can to realize your dreams, as we don't always have as much time as we imagine. My brother, 61 years of age, recently was told he has a year or possibly two to live. He never smoked a single cigarette in his life, but spent 6 years as a machinist in the engine room of a naval vessel, breathing the stuff that floats around wherever asbestos exists. About 35 years later, the mesothelioma type of cancer has manifested itself in one lung. He has been working on a stretched Piper Pacer and is really setup, shop-wise and equipment-wise to accomplish such a task. He's owned a Cesssna 170 and and C-180 on floats. He just got back from taking his kids and grandkids to Disney World, to "make some memories"! He's still accumulating parts for his project...as his son will very likely complete the project. He indicated, "I'm ready to go...but I was hoping they weren't getting up a load so soon!
Those of you who have dreamed of the Alaska Venture...don't put it off.
We don't have a lease on life...! Later, Dick

Dick, Sorry to hear about your brother. Nice to visit with you on the phone the other nite. We did get our electricity back before morning. We had 4 1/2 inches of rain as it started to freeze and then snow. It will never warm up enough this winter to get rid of that ice, it is slippery as snot on a door knob where ever you go. Well keep in touch. Cropduster

Len I just did a trip on the Sim KGTG to PAGK Talkeetna in the Viking. It takes 200 gallons of fuel and 12 hrs I think it was. I am going to do another in the 150 because I do not have a Taylorcraft on the sim. I will then decide which one to take. I hope to go next summer or next. I could use a passenger. I want to look at some property around Talkeetna.

Dan, this link is a good one to get a handle on the airport situation up here.
