How much would an unused NOS O-200 starter drive be worth these days? I can't find reference to it in any of the usual aviation sources.

Re: O-200 starter drive price?
I haven't bought one in a few years for anyone. My advice is throw it and the starter away and get yourself a Skytec or B&C starter. You'll save half the weight, will spin twice as fast, and last 10 times as long. Skytec with conversion from pull to key start is around $525. A new or rebuilt origional starter motor and clutch will cost you close to that. A brief look showed Canadian Aero has rebuilt clutches for $155 exhchanged and Spruce has them new for $265 (part# 07-00769). New motor is around $400, rebuilt around $250.

Re: O-200 starter drive price?
Unless I miss my guess, that's not what we here call an "O200 starter drive". that's the drive for a "pull starter" commonly found on C75-85-90 engines. Probably worth $300 or so.

Re: O-200 starter drive price?
It is indeed from a pull starter, but on an O-200 (which is also nos).
I have a potential buyer, so I'm looking for a guide price (the O-200 has been converted to Armstrong starter).
I seem to recall that these "clutches" were rare now, because a lot of folks have converted to key-start.
Thanks for the replies; I'll amend the thread title.

Re: O-200 hand-pull starter clutch price?
I removed a pull starter and replaced it with a light weight starter last spring after an engine removal I have all the parts and will sell for $100.00?? or probably evently just through it all away in 10 years when I find it in my garage.
