Re: Want Input on T-craft Tool Kit

Also Known As "Water Pump Pliers"

Definition: Pliers with an off set head and having multiple grooves to allow adjustment of said pliers to open to various spans from fully closed to ginormous.

Uses: Removing nuts that have been rounded off. Rounding off nuts prior to using same tool for removing rounded off nuts. Cracking walnuts and pecans.

ChannelLock is a brand name for a very well made set of water pump pliers that will round off virtually hundreds of nuts before becoming worn and unserviceable.

[ the duct tape , a spool of heavy cotton thread, a curved needle, about six feet of cotton rib tape, 3" wide, and a trash brush and small can of nitrate dope from the hobby shop.
The Nitrate will make a MESS over any butyrate you miss, but it will work till you get home.

It seems the duct tape would take the place of all the fabric stuff, and the two times I could have used the cell phone there was no coverage, but that doesn't mean to leave it behind, just a thought, T.T.

I think they're related to Jubilee Clips, something of which I have no idea either... I'll post a photo of Channelocks if you post a photo of Jubilee Clips !

Channelocks also work well to extract teeth if you are stranded.

              Well it depends:
If I am flying in the southern part of the state I will carry a good pocket knife, a fat lighter, a cell phone, a bunch of money and a come apart and pack 22 cal. semi automatic survival rifle (Armalite AR7).

If I am flying in the Northern part of the area Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, etc., I would carry all of the above except I would exchange the 22 cal rifle for a 1911 Colt .45 Auto pistol and 4 or 5 loaded magazines to hold off the scavangers.

Most places have people kind enough to loan tools, give rides, and generally be a help so that I don't have to carry a shop. If I get out into the bush, I am going to make up a list of all of you guys so that I can call you for help if I need stuff. All except for Bill...he is too far away.
