  • Hardware found on the Taylorcraft.

I now have an L2M and a BC12D that may get some attention this summer.

Unfortunately neither plane came into my possession in one piece.

I understand that fasteners are covered in the FAA publication 4313.

But what I’m wondering is if there are any special grade bolts needed for the, prop, engine to mount, or mount to frame and so on.

Are there any washers between the boot cowl and the frame? How about between the motor mount and the boot cowl?

Think hardware, and please reply with your observations.

Depending on your crank will depend on bolts required for prop. Standard AN6 bolts will work if you have a taper shaft. AN76 bolts are required for flanged shafts.

All other hardware should be AN of the appropriate length.

No washers between the fuselage, bootcowl, and engine mount.
