  • Max RPM in level flight

I have a C-85-8 engine and only get 2300 RPM at max throttle in level flight (1,000 feet altitude). I don't know which prop I have, I need to take a look, but it is wood.

This seems low to me. Any comments.

hmm, does seem low, my 65 will turn that with a 1b90cm7049.

I would check it with an optical tach. Maybe your mech tach is wrong?
