  • Almost back together!!!

Well the wing repairs are complete except for the ailerons that will be finished and installed this week. I got the rudder, carb, VG's and wings back on with the new struts. I have to hook up the cables, wing tanks and jury strut clamp to finish the wing installation. I am hoping to get here test flown this week. I did find out that old tape is real crappy to work with. I had 1 roll that I used when I striped the rudder and it left lots of residue that had to be rubbed off with lots of alcohol...not the kind you drink either, that would be abuse! Well I now have to think of all the places I want to go now that summer in Alaska is half over. I want to thank my friends that helped out this weekend. Tim

Your plane is looking great...a real beauty! Have fun and hopefully we'll meet up somewhere. I don't know about the Alaska summer being half over though...I didn't know it had even started yet! Still waiting for one good hot sunny day.

What type of exhaust is that I see sticking out of the cowling?

Aeronca. I put one on my first 85HP T-craft. Much easier to work on, remove, etc. Sounds different for sure.

Yep, Hanlon Wilson specials. If someone needs a blister, I can make them from Carbon Fiber and glass on the short cowling...Tim
