    Re: Flying doors off?

Correction to that last post... AC 105-2C (Sport Parachuting) does have the info you will need to allow door removal as well as the list of pre-approved aircraft, but the forms and further documentation can be found in Aircraft Certification Order 8130.2F. It can also be downloaded from the FAA website. It's another large pdf document...

You'll need both documents to give a full understanding of what the FAA wants to see. Sorry for the confusion.

We have flown our T without both the doors a number of times. I expect someday a hunter will stumble upon a set of RayBans whose loss taught me not to look back at the tail...

          Re: Flying doors off?

thank you Dan , just catching up today and your post was correct.

You said it completely , FAR 105 of course is for skydiving and door removal. With both doors off it gets real breezy and hard on headliners. I am set up to fly with one or both off. If you remove the control wheel for Skydivers, REmove the Universal joint like it says to do. Prevents control lock up. I also have a half door for aerial photos and fun flying too!
