  • Throttle cable differences Lyc. vs. Cont.?

Looks like the only part number change for the engine controls or instruments when swapping in a Continental for a Lycoming, is the throttle. For the Lyc. it is B-12 9101 and for the Cont. B-12 9102. Both drawings dated the same day 7/15/41. What is the difference? Length? Which one is longer? I could cut down my Lyc. cable if it is the longer of the two.......Otherwise I'll need a new part. Anyone know?? Thanks.

You can get a Mcfarlane C-180 cable that is 42" long and it is FAA PMA, just need a field approvel to install...Do a search and there are a few posts about it. Good luck Tim
