If you come through Southern Alberta let me know. You will have a tie down and a place to stay.

AK Tribe...finally back home in Alaska. About 10 weeks "Outside"...Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Good trip but glad to be home. Moved the plane from Kenai back to Arness Strip today...knew I was home when a porcupine waddled across the strip as I was on short final! Geese are flying North...Trumpeter swans landing on the lake ice in front of the house... While we were Outside, the ice on Sport Lake (where I had the plane parked, so my brother could keep an eye on the snow load), started to thin up, so my A & P son yanked the skiis off and a friend flew it to Kenai on wheels. The Tribe in action! While in El Paso, TX my wife and I met up with Sabrina Hill (taylorcraftbc65 on the Forum) at Horizon Airport, a really neat GA airport east of the city. Was introduced to some very friendly airplane people and checked out Sabrina's plane. It's a special spot and worth stopping by...you have to be ready to slow down...those folks have figured out how to pace themselves!
Midnightflyer52...hope to meet up with you this fall...plenty to see up here...don't cut yourself short on time.
Planning to be in Anchorage Sat. for the Alaska Aviation Tradeshow. Hope to see some of the Tribe up there. Dick

        Hey Dick.
        See you up there!
I would like to organize a MOREL MUSHROOM huntin' trip for all the float flying guys here in Ak in early June.
heres a pic of the 12 I built this winter! Flying it is awesome..but expensive.

            Hey AK T-Craft guys...

I don't know how many will read this tonight, but if you come to the Airmen's Trade Show on Saturday stop by and say 'hello'. I'll be manning the FedEx ATR static display from 9:00-12:00. Hope to see you there!

Re: To the AK tribe members

Dan, the Morel get-together sounds like a good idea. I'm still on wheels, but will probably be on floats before long. Our lake is still iced-over. Let us know your game plan.
AKbrew(Jim)...I am planning on being in Valdez this weekend, rather than at the Kenai/Soldotna Airfair.

The WX looks a bit iffy...planning to drive down from the Palmer/Wasilla area. I've only made the Valdez event once, so had to make a choice...! Dick

Thanks for the note Dick. Take some pictures to share from Valdez. Sadly, I'm stuck in Memphis during the Valdez fly-in. Hardly a prop plane flying overhead down here...sigh.

I wish I was going to Valdez, unfortunatly I have to fix the holes in my wings and cover my rudder so I can get back in the air soon. Tim
