Just received latest modified strut clamps from W.A. and did first fit up of the jury struts. When I started lining things up from the front clamp I thought I had a real problem. The thicker strut makes it initially appear that you have to swing the jury strut to one side at an angle to allow alignment with the top screw. That throws the rear alignment WAY off to one side. It really looked like it would never line up.
Surprise. Just kept tweaking and with the right screw positions everything moved right into place. Set it up for a straight line down the front strut leading edge and no loads/pressure on the fittings and bolts. Jury strut dead on vertical.
What a design. Mr. Taylor really did a good job on those parts. Just amazing.
This afternoon, same result with the other side, much faster on the second one.
All new bolts should arrive tomorrow.
Should be down hill from here, tweaking and making pretty, paperwork.
