I am still in need of one (1) jury strut adjustment screw assembly or at least just the screw in part itself. If anyone knows where I might get one please let me know.
Darryl
Thanks for the reply Lloyd, but I don't understand what you are saying. The adjusting screws don't travel with the struts normally, do they? Did you get new ones with your struts?? I'm a little slow on this one.

My son put the new struts on when I was on a mini vacation. I'm thinking I saw the screws in the new struts before the old struts were removed. I will be going to the airport soon, but not getting back home until this evening. I'll check to see if the screws are in the old struts.
To quote Paul Newman, "What we have here is a failure to communicate." LOL
I think you are talking about the adjustment screws in the upper ends of the rear struts.
What I need is the little fixture that screws into the wing about the 3 or forth rib out and attaches the vertical JURY strut that goes between the main struts to keep them from bowing under compression.
If I am correct, thanks for the offer, though, I do appreciate it, but I still have my old rear struts installed and they are ok.

I have a pair that I do not need. They are rusty and dirty. The screws are in good shape. Send me you address and I will send them to you. You can then send me a check for what you think they are worth, at least the shipping.

I have a die and tubing, I just make a new threaded tube, remove the old one and weld a new one in place. Simple, if you decide to do that let me know. Can send you a threaded tube. Dave
Just make the threaded tube a little smaller in internal diameter than ol' CG designed.
The wall thickness between the thread root and the internal bore is a bit small, IMHO. I'd challenge a ramp check FAA bod to notice, without dismantling the jury struts, and even then they'd need an internal mic.

Hey thanks for all the support guys, I was worried that I would have a REAL problem finding a part.
Ray has mailed me one from N.Y. and Lloyd just down the way here has offered to supply one as back up. Think I am in good shape to get the plane back together soon as Wag Aero called and have shipped me the new modified strut clamps.
The part I have left would be fine for a rework and I am lucky to have a great old-school welding and machine shop here that would do what work that I can't do to make it usable again.
California cental valley is showing off this spring, absolutely beautiful weather here for weeks. CAVU and almost Tshirt comfortable. Can't wait to get back in the air again.
