With the help of my lawyer I filed a police report and an officer was assigned to the case but as Harry knows the officer never followed up. I think the Brownsville police are more interrested in their drug wars than a few people loosing their airplanes.

Sending a packet of information to your senator did little, which I would almost always predict, as they pass it on as fast as possible. The FAA is probably not going to criminally charge the person who is involved. (Your elected official only contacted them because they have 'Aviation' in their title and the Senator probably did not have a clue what to do). Remember, your senator is not really 'yours', he is the peoples'. Very rarely are you going to get individualized service from your elected officials, unless you personally know them. I again reiterate, the District Attorney will probably not charge this person unless some type of 'official' report is made and investigated. District Attorneys are 'local' attorneys of usually the county they represent. If you are not necessarily a county resident, they will probably want a lot more answers than you provided. Again, it comes down to what you said, without obtaining the other side of the story. You say you have fraudulent e-mails. What exactly is a fraudulent e-mail? Is that in your opinion? Or did someone promise you something you just didn't get? It would all have to be proven, whereby a law enforcement agent would have to question the suspect(s). I have always found the Attorney Generals Office to be nothing more than a go between where you send a letter to them and they send a letter to whomever you are complaining against. If the other party even responds you would be lucky. I again urge anyone who wishes to file CRIMINAL charges against any certain individual to band together and address this. I have conducted criminal investigations for over 23 years and am just trying to point you in the right direction. As you are already aware, you are probably not going to get your money back, therefore, your only recourse is the satisfaction of maybe getting the guy charged criminally and into court. Also be aware, being a bad businessman is not criminal. The prosecutor would have to prove that he intended to intentionally defraud or steal from you. That is why you may not be getting the reponse you need. They need more answers than you provided. There is power in numbers, hence the reason I suggested the victims of this alleged fraud unite. Oh great. What about if I bought some parts from them and then canceled the credit card after I got the parts... and issued a cryptic statement that "I'm not responsible for my previous financial associations" ?

IMHO the lack of detail in the public statements, and lack of decisive positioning (by Harvey Patrick, D&E, and whoever else is involved) is a very bright flashing light on the "master caution panel" for the Taylorcraft community. We don't know whether it's the TOT, the EGT, the oil pressure or the hydraulic pump that will ultimately be linked to the master caution, but there's something fishy here someplace that shouldn't be fishy.

IMHO the lack of detail in the public statements, and lack of decisive positioning (by Harvey Patrick, D&E, and whoever else is involved) is a very bright flashing light on the "master caution panel" for the Taylorcraft community. We don't know whether it's the TOT, the EGT, the oil pressure or the hydraulic pump that will ultimately be linked to the master caution, but there's something fishy here someplace that shouldn't be fishy.

Before anyone is going to conduct an investigation or file charges a victim will have to step forward and file a report. As this appears to be a problem throughout the U.S. you would have to try and contact an agency that is Federal. Just because you call a State's Attorneys Office does not mean they are going to jump at this. They need a police report, something to go on before they will file any charges against anyone. I could claim anyone on this site sold me something and it never got to me. Would you want to be charged with a crime based on just my statement? There has to be a concerted effort and documentation, usually compiled by a law enforcement agency, (Again, a Federal Agency), before anyone is going to look at it. The U.S. Attorney, I would assume, would then determine if this is truly a prosecutable case. It all depends upon the evidence presented. Just because someone claims someone else did something is not going to make the judicial system jump just because you pay taxes. You have to follow the rules and guidelines. I know there are some angry people here that sent money or have been a victim of someones greed. Just try and get a thread going here with all of the 'victims' identified and then compile any e-mails or paperwork, (cashed checks), indicating what was promised for what. Pick an articulate spokesman and contact the Federal Agency of your choosing. I'm not sure the U.S. Postal Service would be able to help, but I will contact an Inspector I know and run it past him. AND MUCH MUCH MORE ALL OF THIS OVER A 6 MONTH PERIOD, I MY OPINION I'VE DONE ABOUT ALL I COULD, EXCEPT, HIRE AN ATTORNEY, PAY 20 GRAND OR MORE, TO SUIT AND GET IN LINE, THATS NOT VERY SMART FOR A 3600.00 LOSS. THATS WHY I WAS HOPEING TO GET THE FEDS OR SOMEONE INTO IT AND MAYBE THEY WOULD AT LEAST GO AFTER HARRY PERSONALLY FOR MAIL FRAUDE, AND OTHER CHARGES AND LOCK HIS WORTHLESS BUTT UP, AGAIN GO NO TAKERS,

THE LETTER WAS FROM THE FAA, IN RESPONSE TO THE "SENATORS" RESQUEST WHICH WAS IN RESPONSE TO MY REQUEST THAT HE LOOK INTO
THE STRUT DEAL, AND SEE IF HE COULD GET TO THE BOTTOM OF JUST WHAT HAPPENED THERE. I AM STILL OF THE OPINION THAT HARRY AND CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE FAA WERE INVOLVED IN PUSHING THAT STRUT A/D THRU FOR MONITARY GAINS, TOO MUCH WENT ON BEHIND THE SCENES
BEFORE IT EVER CAME OUT, NO VERY MUCH CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE, NO FAILURES, AND NO COMMENT SECTION. THEN THE FAA INSPECTOR INVOLVED LIED, AND COVERED HARRYS BUTT, DURING THE TIME FRAME OF OCT THRU THE TIME THAT HE RETIRED, WHY WOULD HE HAVE DOEN THAT? Anyone who sent payments by mail and did not get the product in return should contact the Postal Inspection Service. They usually investigate fraud by mail reports. If enough people report the same person, the investigation goes quickley.

REALLY? WELL THAT IS HOW MY DEAL WENT DOWN, HOW DO YOU GET INTOUCH WITH THEM? I HAVE TRIED THRU MY U.S. CONGRESSMAN, THE FAA, THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND THE CAMERON COUNTY DA'S OFFICE THE SHERRIFS OFFICE AND DIDN'T HAVE ANY TAKERS.

DID GET A 4 PAGE LETTER BACK THRU THE CONGRESSMAN THAT MADE ME LOOK LIKE A DUMB IDOT, OF WHICH I APPARENTLY AM, I FELL FOR THE

All, from my observation point ( no lost fortunes) when I found this tribe I was way pumped that "we" all had a common thread our old ships.Having anyone trying to manufacture and support parts was a little bit of heaven.
Speaking for myself I "wanted to belive" that there really really was a tooth fairy! We really needed for the owners of this corporation to be authentic and I think the personal loss encounterd by some was testament to the quality of the folks in this tribe (the majority) and their will to keep these aircraft up and passion for them.I've done things in good faith(like shipping parts to people I don't even know) and others loan tools etc.
When the dust clears lets not forget the true fabric of "Our tribe"and what it holds for us.:boxing:
